One of the Islamic organizations that has been consistent and focused on the caliphate as the theme of its preaching for a long time is the Khilafatul Muslimin organization. Appeared in 1997 in Bandar Lampung, it has developed and spread to several regions in Indonesia. In Purwakarta Khilafatul Muslimin has a regional representative with the name Khilafatul Muslimin Purwasuka Region, which is a representation of the Khilafatul Muslimin organization in terms of ideology and organizational activities.
The problem studied in this thesis is the pattern of da'wah communication carried out by the Khilafatul Muslimin of the Purwasuka Region in Purwakarta. And the aim is to find out the communication patterns of da'wah in interacting to introduce and socialize the concept of the caliphate which is the theme of their da'wah to the Indonesian people, most of whom have different views regarding the terminology of the caliphate.
This study uses a qualitative method. Based on the communication pattern theory of Onong Uchjana Effendy and Joseph A. DeVito. Data was obtained through collecting material from the field (field research) such as observation, interviews and documentation. The data sample used in this research was purposive sampling.
The nature of this research is descriptive analysis which concludes that the Khilafatul Muslimin preaching communication pattern in the Purwasuka region in its organizational activities uses characteristics of primary, secondary, linear and circular communication patterns. Apart from that, based on the organizational structure and the role of leaders in their preaching activities, a wheel communication pattern was found.
